Island Rose 2
Watercolor,  10" x 8"
Here and there, our Maine coast is lined with Rosa rugosa, a fragrant wild rose bush that produces huge red rosehips in the Fall. They smell spicy and attract a lot of bees, so that in addition to the sight and smell of these glorious flowers there's a buzzing noise. All the senses are impacted if you taste them, too. Yes, they're edible!
